Travel day is always a LONG day.  We were all tired and hungry when we arrived.  Jason took us to “Burger King” on our way to the apartment.  Fast food “Dominican style”…….it took forever!!!  We all unpacked and had our group meetings on what the weeks mission  will be.  Everyone is excited to see the DR kids tomorrow!

SORRY, NO INTERNET LAST NIGHT.

Friday was a great last day in the Dominican!  Everyone worked really hard in the morning.  We finished laying block in the new classroom.  The last day in the classroom went well, but REALLY hard to tell all the kiddos goodbye!!  The beach and dinner at The ConCon was a perfect end to the week!

Today started really early.  We are waiting in New York to board the plane bound for Indy.  See you all soon!

Such a good day.  Very hot today, we are all still sweating at 9:45pm!!  School went well and the work crew accomplished a lot.  VBS in Batey Piñones. Bonus today: Scott got us sugarcane!  Devo’s on the roof were an end to an awesome day!

Another good day.  No rain today.  Very hot for the work crew and at recess!  VBS in Batey Pinones.  We all took a trip into town to look for souvenirs before dinner.  Devotions on the roof.  Great day in the Dominican Republic!!

What a great day!  Preschool 3, Kindergarden, 1st grade and a work crew.  It rained on us twice today.  Once in the morning and once on the way home.  Batey Cabeza De Torro again today.  Not a lot of kids showed up for VBS, but those who did had a great time!  Some played in the mud, some held babies, while others played soccer again.

We are loving it here in the DR.  Missing you all back home!

Saturday morning was super early for the group leaving.  Boarded the bus at 4:15am!  Everyone arrived home safe last night at 5pm.

This weeks new group has arrived!  Dinner and orientation are over and everyone is getting settled in.  Looking forward to a great day tomorrow

What a super ending to a great week!!  Telling the students goodbye this morning was hard.  We will miss them so much.  Lots of last minute hugs from everyone.  The beach….in the rain was a new experience.  Thankfully, the rain stopped long enough for us to enjoy the ocean.  Dinner tonight at The ConCon.  Sharing on the roof tonight.
