This morning the 3’s, 4’s and 5 year olds came for camp. A LOT OF THEM!! Today is the first day the 3 year olds have ever been to school. The first day many of them have been away from their mom and for a lot of them, the first time they had ever left their bataya. There were many tears and trips to the corner for some of them but, for the most part they all did very well today!

And they are all SO CUTE!!!

This afternoon we went to Bataya Campina to do VBS. We walked through the village to round up kids to join us in the little church. We sang, heard a lesson in Spanish and colored a picture with them before heading out to play. It was SO HOT in that little church. We were all dripping sweat as we listened to our leaders. After VBS was over we went outside to play. We brought bubbles, balls, jump ropes, nail polish and our our own backs for piggyback rides. It was a lot of fun.

We were all thankful for our cold shower and dinner tonight!!

Today the 1st-5th graders arrived for a morning of “English Camp” and and afternoon of “Bible Camp” We were each assigned to a group for the week and spent the day navigating through learning station and games. The hot sun was not too bad with the nice breeze throughout the day. I have heard each person express this evening what a great day they have had AND how exhausted they are!

Tomorrow, we have 60 new 3 year olds arriving along with the 4 year olds and kindergarteners. WOW…what an exciting day it will be!!

Today was a fun day! A great church service this morning and an awesome afternoon at the beach.

We’ve had dinner and just finished devotions. Kids are all playing games now!

Tomorrow is a big day. English enrichment camp in the morning and bible camp in the afternoon for the 1-5th graders.
